Achievement in Music  (16th October 2019)

Mayorites do not leave any stone unturned to  prove their mettle and emerge as winners for the others to follow the trail.
Chinmaye Jain (VIII) added another feather to the cap  by winning various positions in a musical event by the name of J.S.Bawra Sangeet Pratiyogita, organised by Sangit Kala Manch. 

In the competition, held on September 21, 2019., Chinmaye Jain performed  under various categories and bagged the following positions:

a. In Vocal Classical, she bagged the third position.
b. She bagged a consolation prize in Bhajan singing category.

With all her determination and hard work, Chinmaye Jain outshone 25 participants and  brought laurels to the School.

The Vice  Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor, the Director, Ms. Sarita Madhok and the Deputy Vice Principal, Ms Charu Trehan highly appreciated the achievement of the young Mayorite and wished her all the best for her future endeavours.



Mayorites Nailed the Apeejay. Zenith-2019

“Don’t limit your challenges, instead challenge your limits”

Mayorities are always ready to challenge their own potential inorder to emerge victorious. Infused with colossal talent, Mayorities transcended their opponents in the Apeejay Zenith -2019.

1. Manjot Singh and Triaksh Mehta exhibited their excellence in Programming Skills and won the 1st position .
2. Vansh Jain displayed his proficiency in Powerpoint Presentation and clinched the 1st  position .
3.  Ruhaan Arora’s artistic skills bagged him 2nd  position in ‘On The Spot Painting’ Competition.
4.  Eshika Sehgal and Mehr Dandiwal showcased their flair in Nail Art Competition and bagged the 3rd position.

The Vice Chairperson, Ms Neerza Mayor, Director Ms Sarita Madhok and Deputy Vice Principal Ms Charu Trehan congratulated the winners for their accomplishments.




The Tribune Inter School Painting Competition (30th August 2019)


“The strokes of the pen need deliberation as much as the sword needs swiftness”----JULIA WARD HOWE
The Tribune Inter School Painting Competition was organised by The Tribune on August 30, 2019 under the category of ‘Water Colour’ wherein the students from 39 schools took part to showcase their creativity and talent by painting the plain canvas. 

The joy of dreaming, creating and exhibiting your thoughts by drawing and painting is unparalleled. Interestingly, the students were given various topics and themes on which they enthusiastically painted their perceptions over the canvas. 

Mayor world is proud to announce that amongst 800 competitors from various schools, our student Ruhaaan Arora of grade VIII-C bagged second position and brought laurels to the school. 

This competition provided the budding artists of the school an opportunity to interact with other artists and learn the techniques to give creative expressions to their ideas. This event gave a rare opportunity to the students to have such an exposure and hand-on learning experience.





Competition in the Annual Fest "Colors 2019" (2nd February 2019)


Mayor World School adds another feather to its resplendent cap as two of our Mayorites outshone the competition in the Annual Fest “Colors 2019” held at CT Group of Institutions on February 2, 2019.


Syna Aggarwal of Grade VI-B cast the magic of her voice and bagged first position in Solo Western Song category.


An effervescent dancer, Drisha Jain of Grade V-D mesmerised the audience and bagged first position in Solo Dance.


The Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor and the Principal Ms. Suman Rana appreciated and applauded the students for their strong determination, hard work and perseverance.

CBSE Regional Science Exhibtion (28th January 2019)


CBSE Regional Science Exhibition was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, Ludhiana on 28th and 29th of January'2019. As many as 130 schools including Mayor World School participated in it. A panel of six judges from various fields of science, holding eminent positions in their respective areas, followed a rigorous process to adjudge the winners. Mayorites,  Dav vrat Chadha and Mehr Dandiwal of grade XI persevered and presented an exceptional model and bagged the second position. Their model which won accolades, used sea water as an energy source to produce electrical energy. They were selected for the theme Energy and Environment Conservation. They will be competing for the National level to be held in Noida next month.

Bronze medal in Sahodya Science Exhibition


“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream,not only plan, but also believe .”


It gives us immense pleasure to share that our Mayorites Dav Vrat and Mehr of grade XI have bagged second runners up position in Jalandhar Sahodaya Science Model Exhibition.


A total of 25 teams from various schools in and around Jalandhar, participated in the competition. 


The Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor and the Principal,  Ms. Suman Rana highly applauded the efforts of students and teacher.



Proud winners of Indian Science Congress Award


“Don’t wait for opportunity, create it."


The Mayorites have proved their mettle yet again. It is a matter of great delight to inform that Dav Vrat Chadha (XI)  and Pratham Jain (X)   have been selected to attend the 106th Indian Science Congress to be held at Lovely Professional University from 3rd January, 2019 to 7th January, 2019.


Dav Vrat Chadha,  falling in the category I of the selected students will be offered paid TA,  local hospitality and a Plaque.


Pratham Jain falling under category II of the selected students will be offered paid TA and local hospitality.


During the four days of the event, they will be conferred  the opportunity of attending multiple conferences which will be chaired by renowned scientists and Nobel Laureates from all over the world and witness numerous arrays of national level projects in the exhibitions.



The Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor and The Principal Ms. Suman Rana congratulated the proud Mayorites for their achievement.




Satyug Sangeet Utsav-2018 (1st December 2018)


“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind and life to everything”


Symphonic music, melodious voices and breathtaking compositions aptly describe  the magnificent performances exhibited by our young mayorites at the 12th Inter-District Music and Dance Competition ‘SATYUG SANGEET UTSAV- 2018’ held at K.L.Saigal Memorial Hall, Jalandhar.


The competition witnessed the participation of more than 180 students from around 28 different schools of Punjab. The competing categories were: Vocal Classical, Bhajan, Group Song and many more.


The mellifluous voices of the mayorites enveloped in confidence, captivated the audience and the judges leaving them spellbound with their performances.


At the State level, Madhavi of Grade XII secured second position in Vocal Classical category. At the District level, Madhavi of Grade XII once again made us proud by bagging the first position under Vocal Classical category. Mayor World School won the third prize under Group Song category.

The Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor and the Principal Ms. Suman Rana congratulated the winners on their outstanding performances in the event.

Satyug Sangeet Utsav 2018 (28th November 2018)


Mayorites once again exhibited their excellence in Music at 12th Inter District Music Competition, 'Satyug Sangeet Utsav 2018', organised by Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra, Jalandhar on 28th November 2018. Madhvi (XII - B) secured first position in Vocal Classical category. The Mayor World School team comprising Parth Rana Shoor(VIII-B),  Priya Sood(VIII - B), Drish(IX-B), Priyanshu(IX-B), Rajbir Singh (XI-B), Nitya Bhalla (XII - B) and Madhvi (XII - B) bagged third position in Group Song category. Overall 180 students from 22 schools participated in the competition. 



Mayorites nail the Music Competition (5th November 2018)


Mayorites never let go an opportunity to set benchmarks wherever they step in. The year is about to end but not the list of our achievements.


In District Level Kala Utsav-2018, organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India on 5th November, 2018, Madhavi (XII) got 2nd  position in Solo Instrumental Category and Rajbir Singh (XI) won 3rd position in Solo Folk Song Category.

Mayorites nailed the Tech Fest (10th October 2018)


Tech Fest-2018 witnessed Mayorites perform with great zest and zeal and emerge as winners in various categories.


Apeejay College of Fine Arts organised the competition on 10th October, 2018 in which the students participated in different categories and clinched the following prizes.
• Harsh Arora and Gunangad Pal Singh (XII) bagged First position in Programming Skills
• Devvrat Chadha (XI) and Agam Jolly (XII) clinched First position in Mobile App Idea Presentation.
• Parth Rana Shoor (VIII) won Second position in Poetical Recitation.
• The Group Dance comprising Reet Arora, Saina Tiwari, Anandi Mayor, Deepanjali, Gursimran Parmar, Sahib Julka, Prisha Sachdev from Grade X and       Emma Vinayak, Mistie Dhillon , Harnoor Arya from Grade IX clinched Third Position. 
• Lavanya Jain and Abheer Mahajan from Grade XII participated in Business Idea Presentation and got a Consolation prize
• Kriti Kumar (XII) along with Ishita Bhandari (X) expressed their talent in Rangoli Competition and got a Consolation prize.

Inter House Painting Competition (6th October 2018)


"Art is the expression of soul"


To give young minds an opportunity to express their thoughts through colours, the Art department of the School organised a painting competition for the students of the Grades VI-X, on 6th October, 2018, on the occasion of Blood Donation Day,

The budding artists used the medium of their choice and poured their heart on the sheet with multiple hues and shades.

Sangeet Pratiyogita (6th October 2018)


“Music is the medicine of mind, nutrition for the soul and a heartbeat of nature.”

Melodious Mayorite Chinmaye Jain (VII) participated in Bahjan/ Shabad singing category in Dr. J. S. Bawra Sangeet Pratiyogita organised by Sangeet Kala Manch, on October 6, 2018.

Chinmaye brought laurels to the School by bagging 3rd position in junior category amongst 24 participants.

Inter School Western Song Competition (19th August 2018)


Mayor World School takes a great pride to acknowledge the superb performance by SYNA AGGARWAL student of 6th standard - B Section for winning the 1st position in Western Solo Song competing with 32 schools. This Inter school competition was organised by IVY WORLD SCHOOL on Saturday the 19th August 2018. This was 3rd consecutive completion which SYNA won holding the 1st position. Our heartiest congratulations to SYNA. We acknowledge her contribution to keep the Mayor World School Flag Flying High year after year.

Inter School Western Song Competition (20th Jan'18)


This is a moment of immense pride that our dear student Saina Aggarwal of Grade V bagged the first position in the Inter School Western Song Competition and bagged the second position in the Folk Song Competition held at CT institution Maksudan. She was the youngest participant in both the categories.

Inter School Shabad Gayan Competition (25th Nov 2017)


Mayorites won the first position at 31st Inter School Shabad Gayan Competition (Bani Divas) held at MGN Public School, Urban Estate, Phase-2, Jalandhar on 25th November, 2017. Teams from all over Punjab and other north Indian states participated in the competition. The team comprised Madhvi (XI),Rajbir(X), Devansh (IX), Priyanshu (VIII), Drish(VIII), Jashanjit (VIII), Chinmaye(VI), Yuvraj(VI) and Gaurish(VI). It is a proud moment for all the mayorites as the school participated in a shabad gayan competition for the first time.

Inter District Music & Dance Competition

Mayorites, once again rocked the stage with their melodious notes. In 11th Inter District Music Competition, organised by Satyug Darshan Kala Kendra, Jalandhar


Madhavi Bawra (XI) clinched 1st position in classical vocal, in senior category. Raghav Kapoor (XII) bagged 3rd position in Bhajan singing, in senior category whereas Chinmaye Jain (VI) won 3rd position classical vocal, in Junior category.

''PAPDAV MUN'' healt at Police DAV School Jalandhar (13th-15th Oct 2017)

Mayorites participated in 'PAPDAV MUN' held at Police DAV School Jalandhar on 13th-15th October 2017. We feel proud to share that Rangat (XI-A) and Triaksh (X-A) bagged Best Delegate Award with cash award of Rs 5000 each. Tarini Gupta (IX-B) bagged High Commendation Award with cash award of Rs 3000. Purav Jain (IX-D), Sarishty (VIII-A) and Khushi Rajput (VI-C) bagged Special Mention Award. Sarisha (VIII-D), Manya (VIII-D) and Eshanee Mahajan (VIII-C) bagged Verbal Mention Award.Prabhleen Makker(XII-B) bagged EB Award. Mayor World School won the overall Trophy and Best School Delegation Award also. It's a glorious moment for all of us

Veda Jain of Grade IV bagged First International Rank in International English Olympiad organised by Science Olympiad Foundation.

Meir Singh Pandher bagged 13th Zonal Rank in National Cyber Olympiad and 11th Zonal Rank in International English Olympiad.

Harsh Arora of Grade XI bagged 5th Zonal Rank in National Cyber Olympiad.

Gunanged Pal Singh of Grade XI bagged 20th Zonal Rank in International Maths Olympiad.

Great Achievement NTSC Examination (23rd Aug 2017)

We feel proud to share that Gunangad Pal Singh of grade XI has cracked 2nd round of the prestigious NTSE examination and he is among 1000 students pan India. Mayorites participated in 'Exito MUN' held at Ambessador Hotel Jalandhar on 19th and 20th August 2017. We feel proud to share that Purab Jain (9th-D) bagged Best Delegate award, Mehr Dandiwal (10th-A) bagged High Commendation award, Sahira Dua (10th-A) bagged Verbal Mention award, Eshanee Mahajan (8th-C) bagged Special Mention award and Chinmaye Jain (6th-C) bagged Special Mention award. Saina Tiwari (9th -D), Aishna Oberoi (10th-A) and Seerat Kaur (12th-B) got special appreciation awards for organising Exito MUN. It's a proud moment for all of us.

Inter School Music Song Competition (12th August 2017)

Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and charm to life and everything.

We feel proud to share that Mayorites participated in Inter School "Sur Sangam" held at IVY World School and achieved virtuoso results. The Group Song team comprising Rajbir Singh (XB), Devansh Thapar((IX),  Drish Jaitely (VIII), Priyanshu Ajnani (VIII), Parth Rana Shoor(VII), Ishika Chauhan (VII), Priyal Sood (VII) and Chinmaye (VI) bagged the first position amongst 20 eminent schools. 

Syna Aggarwal of grade V won the second position in Westetn  Solo Song amongst 11  renowned schools.

Rajbir Singh won the title of Best Male Singer.

The success story concluded with the Over All Trophy that the School clinched!

Inter House Music Competition Grades VI to XII (27th July 2017)

Music ignites all the areas of child development- intellectual, social and emotional. It helps the body and the mind work together. It is one of the most beloved human experiences and plays an important role in the education of a child by providing it an opportunity of self-expression. An Inter House Music Competition was organized on 27th July 2017 in Mayor World School to expose our students to music, while also enhancing their confidence and presentation skills.

The competition was divided into two categories: Solo and Duet


The participants from all the Houses were full of enthusiasm and eager to show their talent. They prepared well for the competition and a wide range of classical and folk songs were presented. The Principal Mr. J.S. Hundal witnessed the competition and acknowledged that the high potential amongst the students will lead them to the path of glory.


The participants were judged on three aspects such as presentation, harmony and melody. Madhvi (XI B) of Shakespeare House bagged the first position and Sanya (XII B) of Keats House followed with the second position in Solo Song category. In Duet, Raghav and Chandan (XII B) of Shakespeare House grabbed the first position and Rajbir Singh (X B) and Drish (VIII B) of Wordsworth House got the second position.

Inter House Hindi Rhyme Competition Grade I (20th July 2017)

Recitation teaches children invaluable lessons about oratory skills and public speaking. To develop the skills of public speaking and self-expression, Mayor World School organised a ‘Hindi Rhyme Competition’ for all the sections of class I, on July 20, 2017. Elocution enhances one’s capacity of communicating with others, through the use of speech and gestures.

It is natural for parents to want their children to speak exceptionally well in school and outside. The Competition was conducted with a purpose of training the students to face an audience with confidence and recite poems with correct diction, clarity and good pronunciation.

Jalandhar Sahodaya Inter School Group Song Competition ( 27th May 2017)

We feel proud to share that Mayor World School has bagged 3rd position in Jalandhar Sahodaya Inter School Group Song Competition held at Sanskriti KMV School Jalandhar on 27th May 2017. Around 40 renouned Schools of Jalandhar participated in the Competition. Congratulations to the proud parents of our students.




Golden Voice 2017

It gives us immense pleasure and pride to inform you that our student, Syna Aggarwal of Grade V has won second position in Golden Voice 2017 organised by 92.7 big fm. She's been declared as the second best voice of the city. Our heartiest congratulations to dear Syna and the proud family.

Inter School Sahodaya E-Poster Making Competition

We feel proud to share that Prarthana Magon of Grade X and Akshun Aggarwal of Grade X have bagged consolation prizes in Jalandhar Inter School Sahodaya E-Poster Making Competition held at Saffron Public School, Phagwara. 35 Schools participated in the Competition. Congratulations to the proud parents of our students.




Inter School Sahodaya Poetry Recitation Competition achievement 

The motto of the School - Inspiring Excellence was well interpreted once again by the Mayorites who brought laurels to the school by winning English Poetry Competition organised by Jalandhar Inter School Sahodaya Complex in DIPS (Haryana). Nearly 30 schools participated in the competition and amongst all the following students stood winners in their respective categories.
# Czar Kharbanda from Grade II bagged First Position in the category (Grades I-III)
# Chinmaye Jain from Grade VI clinched II position in the category (Grades IV- VI).
The journey to success continued and the School bagged the Overall Trophy too.
The Principal Mr J. S. Hundal applauded the efforts of the students and the teachers concerned.
Congratulating the winners he emphasised that children grow and learn,  and become more confident when exposed to such competitions.

Inter District Music Competition ( 21st Nov'16 )

In 10th Inter District Music Competition  held on 21 November 2016, organised by Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra, Jalandhar, the students bagged prizes in Group Song Competition and Vocal Classical Competition.  The Group Song stood 3rd and the winners were:-

  • Raghav Kapoor (XIB)
  • Chandan (XIB)
  • Eeshan Chauhan(XI B)
  • Vanshika Sablok(XIIB)

Whereas Raghav Kapoor(XI B) bagged 3rd position in Vocal Classical.





Inter School Tech Fest Competition held at APJ College of Fine Arts ( 30 August, 2016 ) 

The Mayorites participated in Tech Fest, held in APEEJAY College of Fine Arts, held on August 30, 2016 and won laurels for the school.
The list of achievers is as follows :-

#Saloni Bhatia and Rajat Kumar (XI) clinched Ist position in NET SURFING.

#Harsh Arora and Gunangad Pal Singh (X) bagged II position in PROGRAMMING SKILLS. 

#Aneet Kaur and Agam Jolly (X) won the III position in POWER POINT PRESENTATION.



Inter School Music Competition held at IVY World School ( 27th August 2016 )

The musical team comprising Rajbir Singh, Devansh Thapar, Sukant Sondhi, Drish Jaitely, Priyanshu Kumar, Priyal  Sood, Ishika Chauhan brought laurels to the school by winning II position in Group Song Competition,  in Sur Sangam, held at IVY World School on Aug 28, 2016.

The budding singer Syna outshone and bagged 1st position in Western Solo amongst 8 participants.

The journey of success doesn't stop here. The participants clinched the overall trophy amongst 30 teams and 270 participants in all.

Rajbir Singh was awarded rs 2000 for his exclusive performance. 





Sahodya Inter House English Poem Recitation ( 31 May'16 )

In Sahodya Inter School English Poem Recitation, held at Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Public School on May 31, 2016, the Mayorite Saina Tiwari  (VIII D) bagged 3rd position in VI- VIII Category. Nearly 68 students from the various renowned institutions participated in the competition.




Youth Talent Competition, Organsied by Rotary Club ( 25 May'16 ) 

Chandan (XIB) won hearts and laurels in Youth Talent Competition, organised by the Rotary Club, Jalandhar, on May 25, 2016.
The details of the competition is as follows:
#2nd position in Ghazal Singing.
# 2nd position in Folk singing.
#The success story does not end here. He bagged the Over All Trophy too amongst 30 participants from various institutions of the city.




Inter School Sole Semi Classical Dance ( 20 May, 2016 )

Pritha Trehan (XI) left the audience spellbound with her dancing talent in Inter School Solo Semi Classical Dance, organised by the Rotary Club, on May 20, 2016. 

She won a consolation prize while competing against 30 participants from various institutions.




Math Origami Competition ( 7 May, 2016 ) 

Four of our students participated in two different categories, in Interschool Sahodaya Maths Origami Competition, held at DIPS Urban Estate, on May 7,2016.

They made beautiful mathematical models which depicted bird related Idioms and similies in the first category, and an Icosahedron( in geometry, an icosahedron is a polyhedron with 20 faces.)in second category .
All the models were made from an uncut square piece of paper without using scissors or glue.

The Mayorites won the Overall Winners Trophy out of thirty schools.
In Category I- Saina Tiwari and Reet Arora from Grade grade VIII won the I position.

In Category II- Devvrat Chadha and Pritha Trehan bagged I position.
