Annual Cultrual Evening 'The Krishna Leela' (9th March 2019)




 

The more you praise and celebrate your culture, the more there is in life to celebrate.

 
Celebrating the opulent Indian tradition and magnificent culture, unification of emotions and soul, Mayor Galaxy, the pre - primary wing of Mayor World School, organised its Annual Cultural Evening on 9th March 2019. The entire show was based on the theme 'Krishna Leela' which was beautifully manifested though evocative dance drama. Dr. Sushma Chawla, one of the leading gynaecologists of the city, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Acclaimed choreographers Mr. Gagunn Bedi and his sister Ms. Jasmine Bedi also presided over the function as the Guests of Honour. Besides the distinguished gathering of the city and the parents of the school students, our discerning Chairman Mr. Rajesh Mayor, exemplary Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor, The Principal Ms Suman Rana and the Head Mistress, Mayor Galaxy, Ms. Charu Tehran also lent a charm to the occasion with their gracious presence.

The whole ambience was imbued with the hues of tradition, devotion and gaiety. The programme commenced with the Lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by the School Anthem and the Prayer Song. The little cherubs and their mothers left everyone enthralled with their Stellar dance performance portraying Krishna's childhood and maternal bond . The discourse between Lord  Krishna and his devotee Meera acted like a string holding all the  pearls of performances together, imparting coherence to the dance drama. Presentation of Krishna 's Drashavtara, the Lord' s incarnation to provide respite to the suffering mankind, mesmerised the audience. 'Natkhat dance' beautifully depicted the innocence and liveliness of childhood. The 'Govardhan Parvat' enactment explicated a message to be sensitive towards nature and 'Kaalia Mardhan' showcased the Baal Leela of the Supreme Lord signifying the victory of good over evil. 'Maharaas', a dance performance symbolising the ecstasy of communion with the divine also left everyone entranced. 'Aarambh Hai Prachand' filled every one with wisdom and delight presenting 'Gita Saar' in a stimulating manner.

The breathtaking culmination generated an aura of divinity and instilled the heavenly glory all around.

 The parents were proud of the little ones and appreciated the school’s endeavour in training them exquisitely. The school Chairman and the Vice Chairperson also applauded the efforts made by the staff and the students in putting up such a delightful show. The event concluded with the National Anthem followed by dinner.
