Annual Inter School Chairman's Debate ( 31st Jan'17 )

 Mayor World School hosted the second Annual Inter School Chairman’s Debate in its campus on 31st January, 2017 for classes IX-XII. The topic of the debate was ‘Impact of demonetisation on the Indian economy- beneficial or detrimental’. More than 15 renowned schools of the city registered and took part in the debate. The panel of judges included the eminent dignitaries of the city Mr. Simarjeet Singh, Ms. Tarveen Kaur and Ms. Chahat Mayor. Mr. Simarjeet Singh and Ms. Tarveen Kaur are motivational speakers of International accolade. Ms. Chahat Mayor is an alumni from Mayor World School and Aston College and a young entrepreneur. The event was also presided by the Vice-chair person Mrs. Neerza Mayor and the Principal Mr. J.S Hundal of the School. The participants from different schools put their best foot forward and strongly exhibited their opinions. A rebuttal round was conducted after the participants from each school presented their ideas. Intermediately the students gave exuberant performances through a prayer dance and a fusion dance. The judges were very happy to see the awareness and alertness of the students as engaged citizens. They motivated the participants and appreciated them for their skills to discuss current political issue and understand the opposing views critically. The participants spoke so well and gave a neck and neck competition to each other.  But as customary to a competition the results were announced with Delhi Public School, Jalandhar grabbing the first position followed by MGN Urban Estate Phase-II and Dayanand Model School. The consolation prize was shared by Mayor World School and IVY World School, Jalandhar.
