Chess Achievement Tanmay Jain ( 19th April,2017 )

Tanmay Jain of Mayor World School added another feather to the cap of Mayorites and made the country proud by fetching a bronze medal in Asian Youth Chess Championship held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan in under 10 Category, held from 31st March to10th April 2017. Players from 15 countries participated in the Tournament. He has been awarded the honour of Candidate Master, which is the first and foremost step to achieve the position of Grand Master.   

Tanmay has many achievements to his credit. He also scored seventh rank all over India in 30th National Under-9 Chess Championship 2016. It was held at C.T. Public School, Jalandhar from 22nd to 30th August, 2016.

He stood first in the 9th Mumbai Mayor’s Cup International Open Chess Tournament- 2016, held in Mumbai from 2nd June to 9th June 2016 in under 10 category.

Tanmay also stood first in G.H. Raisoni All India Open Fide Rated Chess Tournament, Nagpur-2016, Maharashtra in under-9 category held from 28th June to 3rd July 2016.

He also bagged first position in P.C.A. National Blitz Fide Rating Chess Championship in under-9 category held from 1st July to 2nd July, 2016.

Tanmay bagged third position in COMMON WEALTH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP, held from 22nd -30th June, 2015 in under-8 category in Delhi. He clinched a Bronze Medal.

The school Principal and the management lauded his achievements. They congratulated the proud parents Mr. Pankaj Jain and Mrs. Ishika Jain for his achievements. They motivated him and promised full support required to facilitate his career and future endeavours.
