 Inter House Cooking Without Fire Competition

The aroma of the appetizing and mouth-watering dishes had filled the Dining Hall of Mayor World School as the Inter House Cooking Without Fire Competition was held with the view to spur the talent of the students. It was a culinary competition where in students for grade III to V of all the houses namely Dickens, Keats, Shakespeare and Wordsworth actively participated to showcase their skills.


Each of the four Houses prepared one snack and one mocktail. The theme for Keats House was Basant Panchami in which they decorated their dishes with yellow colour. The theme for Shakespeare house was ‘We Are What We Eat’. The students displayed the theme through the medium of the mirror that we become such as we eat. Dickens’ House worked with “Republic Day” in which the students prepared a tri-coloured sweet and salty snack. The theme of Wordsworth House on ‘Highway’. The participants of Wordsworth House displayed Punjabi Cuisine. The contestants were put through the contest with various challenges as they were confronted with a stiff tussle.


The cuisines were judged on the yardstick of rigorous rounds. At last the judges came up with their prudent judgement. Aron, Sahil, Naina and Harnisha of Keats House bagged the first position whereas Shakespeare House and Wordsworth House clinched the second and third positions respectively.


Honourable Director Mrs. Jyoti Nagranee and Principal J.S. Hundal, appreciated the participants for their inherent talents and expressed their desire to create more opportunities in future.


It was indeed a wonderful platform for the competitions and the audience.
