English Week- A gala success it was! (30th May ’15)

At the Mayor World School students are always encouraged to communicate in English whether at the campus or outside. To egg on the future global citizens to communicate in English the School celebrated English Week from May 25, 2015 to May 30, 2015 that comprised of a plethora of activities to ensure 100% participation of students. Students displayed their oratory skills through Story Telling. They gave wings to their imagination in Creative Writing whereas they polished their recitation skill through Poetry recitation. The game of Scrabble was played to revive their word building knack. The students revealed the art of beautiful formations of letters by Calligraphy. Love for reading can only be generated through diving into the ocean of literature. The students dressed up as their favourite character from the prescribed reading books and presented their dramatic skills. A Book Mark Making activity allowed children to present their artistic skill. D.E.A.R., Drop Everything and Read was an effort to encourage reading amongst students. The winners will be declared and awarded soon.
