Inter House Activity English Poetry Recitation Grades VI-VII ( 6th May'16 )

Grandparents sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children.  And to string this beautiful feeling into words Mayor World School organized an Inter House Poetry Recitation Competition in the school on May 6th, 2016 for Grades VI-VIII. One child from each of the four Houses shared their views through poems composed by themselves and few by the well known poets.

Grandparents provide a vital relationship to children. And this  occasion was a reminder that we owe a lot to our grandparents who’ve passed down love , care and hard-won wisdom.

Keeping in mind the rhythm, mood, diction and expressions, the poems were beautifully recited by the participants. Time duration for each poem was 2-3 minutes.

The judges had a tough time and there was neck and neck competition. Rishit Sama   of Grade VI from Shakespeare House and Saina from class VIII from Keats House were  both declared winners while  Purab Jain of VII-D from Wordsworth House and Siya Gulati  of class VII were  declared as 1st  and 2nd   runners up in the competition.
