Inter House G.K. Quiz Competition Grades VI-VIII (11th May 2017)

Quizzes and debates are the important part of school curriculum that enhances student’s personality. Mayor World School has always strived to facilitate the learning process of students in all spheres of life. To motivate the students, an exciting and interactive, Inter house General Knowledge Quiz competition was held on May 11, 2017 for Grades VI-VIII in the school premises.

Four fervent participants from each of the four houses, exhibited their marvellous potential with full zeal. The format of the quiz had a variety of rounds including Visual round, Current-Affairs and Rapid Fire round. The time allotted to give each answer was 30 seconds in all the rounds. Sterling presentation by all the four teams gave tough battle to each other.


The team comprising of  Arshit Berry, Nimish Mahajan, Ayush Nanda and Ishita Kapur, representing Keats House, scored maximum points and were announced the winners, followed by the participants from Wordsworth House, Dickens House and Shakespeare House.

It was very informative and exciting competition for the participants and the audience.


The Principal, Mr J.S. Hundal encouraged the participants for their competitive spirit and applauded the teachers and students to keep the spirits high in future too, as such competitions are the potential learning tools. He congratulated the winners and advised the audience to inculcate the habit of reading newspaper and watch news broadcasting channels to keep themselves aware of the happenings in the world. The children felt delighted while receiving the merit certificates.


The session was indeed a wonderful platform for the students and the audience.
