Inter House Hindi Debate Competition Grade III-V (10th Oct'17)


Mayor World School has always been in the forefront when it comes to introduce new techniques and curriculum in the prevalent education system. Challenging the rising competitions at different levels and to overcome the hurdles with a winning spirit is what the Mayorites believe in.


Keeping up the spirit of learning through competitions, Mayor World School organised an Inter House Hindi Debate Competition for students of Grade III-V in the school premises on 10th October 2017. The topic for Hindi debate was “Vigayanik Yug Mein Girte Manav Mulya” Two children from each of the four houses namely Dickens, Keats, Shakespeare and Wordsworth participated and presented their views for the motion and against it.


The aim of these competitions is to give the students an experience in public speaking, hone their verbal skills and to strengthen them to anticipate the objections to their arguments.


Luvjas Singh of Grade V and Manroop Singh of Grade IV representing Keats house were declared the winners, followed by Worsworth house. Luvjas Singh was awarded as the best speaker.


The Principal Mr. J.S.Hundal honored the winning team and appreciated the participation of all the four houses. He addressed that all events in our life can be considered opportunities to cultivate human values. He added that progress in science and technology can be viewed as one of the most effective means of rendering unconditional service.


It was indeed an engaging, rewarding, mind expanding and emotionally enriching activity for the students.
