National Independent Schools Alliance (8th Sep'18)


The National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) is a platform that brings together budget private schools (BPS) from across the country to give them a unified voice to address their concern. NISA represents over 55,400 schools, from 20 state associations, which cater to the needs of 9.35 million children. NISA is striving for school as well as systematic level change. It aims to create an ecosystem for school quality improvement by partnering with different organisations working in the education space.


The Chairman Mr. Rajesh Mayor, Vice-Chairperson Ms.Neerza Mayor and CASA President Mr. Anil Chopra welcomed the dignitaries from NISA  Mr. Kulbushan Sharma ,President of National Independent Schools Alliance,State President of Patriotic Forum of India and State Working President of National Human Rights Protection Organisation . Mayor World School was privileged to host the seminar on September 8, 2018 which aimed at providing a platform to meet with the technological advancement of present times which facilitates quality improvement in schools. There were 100 participants from around 27 schools from Jalandhar and nearby areas. The seminar was from 9.30 am to 4 pm.


Ms. Deepa Natrajan and Mr. Nikhil Mhatre from the NGO ‘ Desh Apnayen’ conducted the workshop to inculcate civic sense in future generation and to impart more knowledge about social science. The foundation engages with the Indian youth in a unique way that the students imbibe the WILL (inspiration) and develop the SKILLS (knowledge) to emerge as contributing citizens. The seminar focused on making the students better citizens and to impart more knowledge about Social Science. The teachers were guided to improve the teaching methodology on the lines of modernisation for making the subject more accepted and easier. In this seminar, the teachers discussed about the problems they face and solutions were given to make the subject more interesting. Main focus was to inculcate civic sense among educators, who in turn will educate their students, especially about keeping the roads, streets and public property clean.


The Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor and the Principal Ms. Suman Rana thanked all the guests and the teachers for being a part of such an informative and interactive workshop.
