Inter House Punjabi Nukkad Natak Competition (21st Aug 2017)

Street play or ‘Nukkad Natak’ has become a widely known and popular genre in the world of theatres especially among the youth. It is one of the most vital tools to tackle with social issues in a large democratic country like India by grasping the right to freedom of speech.

An Inter House Competition in the regional language Punjabi was organized in Mayor World School Jalandhar on 21st August 2017 to bring awareness about social media and its negative impact on people’s mind.

Through this medium, the team of each House ignited the minds of the audience and created an intense atmosphere and their main aim was to share the message revealing the pros and cons of social media through this competition.

The team of Wordsworth House comprising of Harsimrat kaur, Purab Jain, Reet Arora, Bishop Malik, Kulmeet Kaur, Gursahil Singh, Harshita Nair, Navya Gupta, Prabhnoor, Madhav Gupta and Gurjot Kaur Dhariwal from classes VII to IX bagged the first position and followed by Keats at the second position.

The certificates of participation were awarded to all the winners and the efforts of each team were appreciated by the Principal Mr. J.S. Hundal by awaking the students about the negative impact of social media.
