State Level Painting Competition Grades VI to VIII (13th Dec 2017)

On 13th Dec, 2017 ‘Ministry of Water Resources’ organized a State Level Painting Competition for Grade VI to VIII in which the students from Mayor World School participated enthusiastically. The theme of the competition was – USE WATER WITH MORE CARE- SAVE OUR FUTURE GENERATION. The competition was presided over by the Vice Chairperson of the School Ms. Neerza Mayor.

Children made posters and paintings which buzzed with the theme. All the paintings depicted the act of preserving, guarding, protecting and sensible use of the natural resources. The theme was chosen as an attempt to sensitize the young minds towards their primary duty to learn the importance of water and how easy it would be to take an action now, before it’s too late. Availability of Water is the biggest issue world-wide and our Indian government is also taking necessary steps to ensure availability of water for future generation. The participants used their aesthetic skills and gave wings to their imagination. They framed excellent portrayals based on the theme.

The Vice Chairperson appreciated the students for their efforts in making such realistic works of art. She also mentioned about the ways of water conservation, as a few small change can add up hundreds of gallons in water savings.

The three painting short listed for state level competition are of – Asmi Kapoor (VI), Ananya Mittal (VII) and Mistie Dhillon (VIII).
