Workshop on Cyber Security (26th October 2018)

“Cyber war takes place largely in secret, unknown to the general public on both sides." - Noah Feldman

Keeping in mind, the increasing intensity of cyber conflict around the world, Mayor World School organised a workshop for the students of Grade IX and X on Cyber Safety, on 26th October, 2018. The workshop was conducted by four resource persons from Social Curator.

The idea behind the workshop was to raise awareness about the terrible effects of cyber bullying and cyber crimes as cyber attacks are a great threat to our security. The students were enlightened about the threats of e-frauds, cyber bullying, hacking, online human trafficking and were also informed about cyber laws. They briefed the students about the safe and cautious usage of social media and Internet and implications of flouting cyber laws.

They also explained the correct methods of using credit cards and debit cards and Internet banking. The workshop was an eye opener for everyone who attended it.

The Vice chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor insisted on the right orientation and proper parental awareness to restrict the problem to some extent.
