Inter House Dance Competition Grade VI to X (10th August 2018)

“Dancing is like dreaming with your feet”

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Inter-House Group Dance competition for the Grades VI to X was organised in Mayor World School on 10^th August, 2018. The theme for the competition was- My India, My Pride. The children from all the four Houses dressed in colourful costumes, enlivened the hearts of the audience with their confident steps, rhythm and expression. The pot-pourri of performances included ‘Dances of India’ by Dickens House, ‘Patriotism’ by Keats House, ‘Festivals of India’ by Wordsworth House and ‘Hifazat-e-Hind’ by Shakespeare House.

In this neck to neck competition Keats House got the first position and the second position was bagged by Wordsworth House followed by Shakespeare and Dickens.

The competition was judged by Ms. Aashima Sama (a senior teacher of the School) and Ms. Nidhi Beri (a Post Graduate in Kathak and certified Zumba Instructor). The Vice Chairperson, Ms Neerza Mayor congratulated all the students and teachers for their endeavours.  The Principal, Ms. Suman Rana, announced the results for the competition. They conferred the certificates to the joyous winners making the day even memorable. The unflinching efforts of Department of Music, Dance and Arts presented the melodious extravaganza.
