Mayor World Gleams the Brightest in Cleanliness Survey 2021-22.
The Community Facilitator Cum Programme Coordinator and State Awardee Ms.Saroj Kapoor; the Councillor ,Mr.Rajinder Mintu; and social worker,Mr Ashwini Sharma celebrated “Desh Ka Har Ravivar Vishesh” and “Gandagi Se Aazadi ” Sunday Mega Event ” under Swachh Survekshan 2021-22 Survey at Mayor World School on 22nd August 2021 at 6:00 am.
The Theme of the programme was “Swacchta Sankalp Desh Ka Campaign”. During the programme ,they raised a concern about the environment and stated that it is the collective responsibility of all the citizens to take care of the environment and resuscitate the ailing planet with our earnest endeavours.They further averred that we should be ready to face the environmental challenges and emphasised the ban on the single use plastic.
The Director,Ms Sarita Madhok; the Principal ,Ms.Harjeet Kaur Ghuman;the Deputy Vice Principal,Ms.Charu Trehan; and
the Head Mistress Mayor Galaxy ,Ms.Aarti Gulati graced the event.The members of the staff and the students also participated in the programme.
This week ,a theme for writing slogans on the school walls was allocated .Under this activity , several slogans regarding plantation of trees, water conservation and cleanliness ,clean and pollution free environment, segregation of biodegradable ,non-biodegradable and chemical waste ,and creation of organic manure were written on the school walls.
The organic manure prepared by the organisers was distributed among all and the importance of the same was also expounded.The School Management appreciated the endeavours of the team.
It is worth mentioning that Mayor World is already a plastic free zone and has proactively conducted cleanliness drives in the surrounding areas.The school has been using its rooptop for organic farming where only the organic manure prepared in the school is used.
