Mayor World School proudly hosted its Inter-House Science Model Making Competition on 28th October 2025, an event that celebrated scientific curiosity, creativity, and collaborative learning. Students from Grades VI to XII participated with great enthusiasm, presenting innovative models that addressed real-world challenges through scientific inquiry and design thinking.
The competition was judged by a distinguished panel comprising the Vice Principal of Mayor World School, Ms. Charu Trehan, and Ms. Maninder Kaur Kalsi and Ms. Sonia Sohal from MGN School, Jalandhar. Their discerning evaluation and encouraging presence added immense value to the event.
The competition was divided into two categories: Category I for Grades VI to VIII and Category II for Grades IX to XII. Each house was assigned a unique scientific theme. Keats House explored “Safe Flight” and “Eco genesis,” Dickens House presented models on “Piezoelectricity” and “Green House and Global Warming,” Wordsworth House addressed “Pollution Control” and “E-Highway,” while Shakespeare House showcased “Chandrayaan 3” and a “Mock-Up Framework of Carbon Purification.”
In Category I, Keats House secured the First Position with a compelling model on Safe Flight, presented by Arjun Kapoor (VI B), Durvish Kackria (VII B), and Hridyansh Sharma (VIII A). In Category II, Keats House once again emerged victorious with their model on Ecogenesis, crafted by Vinayak Gupta (XI A), Siddid Popli (X A), and Tanvi Nagrath (IX C). Shakespeare House received a special mention for their commendable efforts and creative execution.
The School Management extended heartfelt congratulations to the winners and applauded the spirited participation of all students. Special appreciation was conveyed to the Department of Science for its dedicated mentorship and guidance, which empowered students to think critically and present their ideas with clarity and confidence.
The event reaffirmed the School’s commitment to fostering scientific temper and nurturing a culture of excellence through experiential learning and inter-house collaboration.
