To foster the art of public speaking and inspire a positive change, Mayor World School organised an “Inter House TED Talk Competition ” on 15th  May 2025 The competition was tailored for  the students in Grades  IX to XII which aimed to provide a platform for young minds to showcase their eloquence and creativity.

A team of three contestants from each house took part in the competition, where each participant delivered a compelling three minute speech, inspired by the format of renowned TED Talks, in English.  The persuasive speeches aimed to inspire and leave a lasting positive impact on the audience.

To ensure fairness and originality, participants were required to deliver an entirely original speech, avoiding any form of plagiarism.

The event was honoured by the presence of the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor; the Vice Principal , Ms. Charu Trehan ; and the Head Mistress  of Mayor Galaxy, Ms. Preena Sablok.

The judging criteria for this challenge included the relevance of the topic chosen, delivery skills, audience impact, and body language. The esteemed judges, the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor and the Special Educator, Ms. Pooja Arora, meticulously evaluated the participants’ performances according to the aforementioned criteria.

Finally, the results were declared by the jury in which Dickens House comprising Jasmine Kaur (X-B),  ⁠Harshiv Bhatia( X-A) and Samridhi Jain (XII-B) bagged the first position. Nandita Tangri (XI-C) from Keats House was declared the best speaker.

The TED Talk event was a remarkable showcase of thought – provoking and inspirational speeches , reflecting the potential of eloquent Mayorites.

The School Management congratulated the winners and appreciated the contestants for their outstanding efforts and impactful contributions.
