“Farewell echoes in the air, memories we declare, with laughter rare and dreams we dare.”
Once again Mayor World School witnessed an incredibly moving and overwhelming arena as it organised a Valediction Ceremony for Grade XII , Session 2023- 2024 on 6th February 2024.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by the Director, Ms.Sarita Madhok. She applauded the batch as being one of the brightest one and enlightened them with her inspirational speech to make a mark in the world outside, carrying forth the school motto of ‘Inspiring Excellence’.
The students of Grade XI presented brilliant dances, role play and arranged entertaining games for their seniors. The students of outgoing batch looked ravishingly entrancing in their multihued attires.
The day was celebrated and devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. Incredible dance and enthralling musical performances rocked the ambience.
The stage was set ablaze with the ramp walk by Grade XII. The Farewell Pageant was judged by Ms. Neha Dada and Ms.Amrita Gill. Gia Saini and Ruhaan Arora were declared Miss. Mayorite and Mr. Mayorite respectively. The titles of Miss. Charming, Mr. Handsome and Best Outfit (Female) and Best Outfit (Male) were won by Ananya Shoor, Dev Puri, Khushi Rajput and Arnav Choudhary respectively.
With valedictory speeches and motley of colourful presentations by Class XI Students, the event evoked a strong sense of solidarity among the Mayorites. The fun titles given to all the outgoing students were jocular and amusing. The ambience brought back recollections of each student’s personal journey of the past seventeen years.
The Head Boy, Ruhaan Arora and the Head Girl,Sjonum Walia expressed their deep love and gratitude for the Vice Chairperson,the Director, the Deputy Vice Principal and the teachers who had consistently guided them in the right direction throughout the years.
The Vice Chairperson, Ms Neerza Mayor gave her blessings, wished good luck to the students of Grade XII and expressed her hope that they would keep holding top positions in the future as well.
This was followed by the distribution of souvenirs, group photos, cake cutting ceremony and high tea. The students danced to their heart’s content and clicked pictures with their friends and teachers to treasure the memories forever. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks.
