Mayor World School’s young athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the 11th Junior State Soft Tennis Championship, held at Satluj Tennis Academy, South City, Ludhiana, on 26th and 27th April, 2025. Demonstrating skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, the School’s teams and individual players secured remarkable positions across various categories.
In the Team Event, the Boys’ Team clinched the second place, showcasing its dedication and competitive spirit. The team comprised Kritagya Kaushal (X-C), Medhansh Thapar (X-C), Naman Sachdev (IX-C), Amay Dixit (XI), Krishiv Mehra (IX-A), Shaurya Vijan (XI), Maulik Mittal (VIII-A), Siddid Popli (X-D) and Dhruv Daver (X-A). Their impressive performance reflected discipline and determination throughout the tournament.
The Girls’ Team also secured the second place in their event, with a commendable display of agility and strategy. The team consisted of Ganeev Kaur (VII-D), Agamya Popli (VIII-A), Arshi Chadha (VII-A), Mannat Kaur (VIII-D), and Nitya Mahajan (VI-E), each contributing to the team’s success with remarkable skill and coordination.
In the Individual Events, Agamya Popli and Ganeev Kaur proudly shared the third position in the Girls’ Singles category. Their determination and perseverance on the court highlighted their growing potential in the sport.
The School’s dominance continued in the Girls’ Doubles, where Agamya and Ganeev secured first place, demonstrating flawless teamwork. Arshi and Mannat added to the School’s glory by securing the third position, further emphasizing the strength of Mayor World School’s female athletes.
In the Boys’ Doubles category, Kritagya and Medhansh, along with Amay and Naman, secured the third place, proving their resilience and coordination in the face of tough competition.
The championship also witnessed amazing performances in the Mixed Doubles category, where Maulik and Ganeev exhibited strategic play and secured the third place, adding another accolade to the School’s achievements.
