To kindle the passion for Sports , Mayor World School organised the Mayorite Cricket League T10- Season III, for all the enthusiastic and ever supportive fathers of Mayorites. The tournament began on Tuesday, 14th February.The grand finale will be on Sunday, 26th February, 2023.
All the participants have been divided into six teams namely Fantastic 11, Pitch Smashers, Team Challengers, Scoring Willows, Game Changers and Fire Balls.
The opening ceremony was held on 14th February 2023 in the School at 7:00 am. The ceremony took place in the gracious presence of the Director, Ms. Sarita Madhok; the Principal, Ms. Harjeet Kaur Ghuman and all the dignitaries.
The day began with a warm welcome note by the Director. Subsequently, she addressed the enthusiastic players and the teams were introduced. The league was declared open after the National Anthem and a group photograph.
It was followed by the toss between Game Changers headed by Mr.Nikhil Gupta and Team Challengers led by Mr.Arshdeep Singh.
The toss was won by Game Changers who decided to bat first.
It was a treat to watch both the teams perform with ardour and avidity, and the spectators were awe struck over the spectacular match between the two.
It turned out to be an enthralling match wherein Game Changers defeated Team Challengers by taking all their wickets in 7.4 overs. Mr.Nikhil Gupta was declared the Man of the Match.
The School Management applauded all the players and further thanked them for investing their faith in the School and their enthusiastic participation in the league.
