It is the exuberant dream  of every child to climb trees, play outdoor games , enjoy  bon fire parties and have a night out in tents with friends. Mayor World School made this dream come true for its students, making them experience such adventures in the School at its annual Day and Night Camps.

To make the children get away from the ennui of their  daily routine and rejuvenate after the final examination, enthralling day camps for the students of Mayor Galaxy and  Grades I and II,  and overnight camps  for Grades III-VIII were  organised from 23rd March to 26th March 2023.

Many coloured tents fuelled the children’s imagination and added to their fun and frolic. Children got engrossed in various activities like  Wall climbing, Zip line, Burma Bridge, Commando Bridge, Double Trouble, Rope Climbing, Spider Web, Wriggling, Roller, Acid Circle, All are keys, Pipe Dreams etc. All these activities were designed to emphasise coordination, leadership, team work and self-dependence. A professional group was specially engaged to conduct all these activities. For the Night Camp ,the children reported at 4.00 pm and dispersed at 10:00 am , the next day .The day campers stayed on campus for the whole day.

The children enjoyed the bonfire moments and the foot tapping music till late in the evening.  Later they relished a scrumptious meal and then continued with their peer talks, dance and music for hours. In the morning they had their  breakfast and went on with some new activities.

The Principal,Ms Harjeet Kaur Ghuman and the Deputy Vice Principal,Ms.Charu Trehan also participated in the activities.

The students  expressed their views and remarked the activities as “awesome” and “electrifying”. The parents, who came to pick  up their wards commented that  programme was “well organised” and the activities were “age appropriate”. They were enthralled to see the environment and arrangements.

The Director, Ms. Sarita Madhok acknowledged that such activities instill confidence among children  and  make them self dependent as they learn to manage their chores themselves without any elderly assistance.

The Vice Chairperson  Ms. Neerza Mayor  emphasised that these  activities lead to  holistic growth of children. She further stated  that the School has tried to make this camp as safe and fun filled as possible .

The parents expressed their gratitude towards the School Management for organising adventure camps for children and making them confident and self-reliant.
