Mayor World School organised a two day CBSE workshop for the educators on ‘Strengthening Assessment And Evaluation Practices’ from 21st July to 22nd July 2023. Ms Deepa Dogra, the Chief Academic officer, Cambridge International School for Girls, Jalandhar and Ms Ravinder Kaur, the Principal, Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana were the resource persons. The teachers from other districts also attended the workshop.
The main objective of this workshop was to make the participants understand the integral elements of the latest structure of assessment and to optimise learning and development in all students through regular assessments.
The teachers were provided with hands-on experience as they were asked to make the blueprint of Periodic Tests and frame question papers . Furthermore, significant information was disseminated on creating effective and efficient lesson plans using Bloom’s taxonomy in order to inculcate critical thinking among the students. There was a detailed discussion on the grading system followed by CBSE.The training session helped the teachers acquire the art of measuring the performance of the students on the basis of beginner, progressing, and proficient learners.
Overall, it was an interactive and learning workshop where the teachers were made aware about the new techniques and strategies to make evaluation stress-free. At the end, the School Management extolled the resource persons for conducting insightful and inspiring session.
