Mayor World School  hosted a vibrant cultural programme  for the students  of Grade  V on 14th February 2025, celebrating the theme of UBUNTU- “I am because we are.” The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising the start of a wonderful evening. The Vice Principal,Ms.Charu Trehan delivered an inspiring address, setting the tone for the festivities.

The programme  continued with a graceful ballet dance, showcasing the students’ elegance and poise. This was followed by a heartfelt recital of the poem One Heart, One Beat, which emphasised unity and harmony. A presentation on the eight virtues highlighted key values and morals, resonating with the audience.

 Rhythm of Friendship, an engaging enactment  by the students mesmerised  the audience with its portrayal of the bonds of friendship. The energy levels soared with the Chakde dance, a high-energy performance that lit up the stage.

The tribute to the legendary actor Raj Kapoor through a lively dance performance was a definite highlight, bringing back the  nostalgic memories. The Coordinator of Grade V ,Ms.Radha Sharma  proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing her  gratitude to all participants and attendees. The grand finale featured the culmination dance Colours of Happiness, celebrating joy and togetherness.

An enlightening interactive session was also held, where parents eloquently shared their insights on the theme, adding depth and meaning to the event while fostering a sense of shared reflection and engagement.

The evening concluded patriotically with the National Anthem. Throughout the event, the theme of Ubuntu resonated, reminding everyone of our shared humanity and interconnectedness. Each performance reflected the spirit of community and mutual respect that defines the ethos of Mayor World School.

The School Management  extended its gratitude to all students, teachers, and parents for their contribution to the success of this cultural programme, celebrating the beauty of unity in diversity and embodying the true essence of Ubuntu.
