On 1st November 2025, Mayor World School organised a series of educational excursions spanning multiple grade levels, thoughtfully curated to deepen students’ appreciation of heritage, historical legacy, and national identity through experiential learning.

For the young learners of Mayor Galaxy and Grades I to III, a visit to Wonderland offered a joyful blend of recreation and discovery. The theme park’s interactive rides, creative play zones, and vibrant atmosphere encouraged social bonding, sensory exploration, and imaginative growth-laying the foundation for holistic development.

To deepen cultural awareness, the students of Grades  VI to VIII  participated in Heritage Walks through historically significant locations. This initiative aimed to acquaint them with the architectural legacy, oral traditions, and community values that define their roots. These walks served as a living classroom, instilling a sense of pride in India’s rich cultural tapestry.

The students of  Grade VI  journeyed to Gobindgarh Fort, Amritsar-a bastion of Punjab’s martial history. Here, they explored the iconic  Pagdi Museum, Warfare  Museum and interactive exhibits that narrated tales of bravery and strategic prowess. The fort’s multimedia presentations and live performances offered a dynamic lens into the region’s resilient past.

The learners of Grade VII visited the revered Golden Temple, where students experienced the spiritual ethos of humility, equality, and service. The serene surroundings, participation in the community langar, and guided reflections on Sikh teachings fostered the values of compassion and unity.

Grade VIII students embarked on a soul-enriching trip to Shri Anandpur Sahib and the acclaimed museum Virasat-e-Khalsa. Through immersive galleries and architectural splendour, the  students traced the evolution of Sikh philosophy, the formation of the Khalsa, and the enduring legacy of courage and sacrifice.

Grades IX and X witnessed the stirring Wagah Border Retreat Ceremony, a powerful display of discipline and patriotic fervour. The synchronised parade, ceremonial salutes, and chants of national pride offered students a visceral connection to India’s defence forces and democratic spirit-igniting a deeper sense of civic responsibility.

These excursions reflect the School’s unwavering commitment to value-based education, where learning transcends textbooks and cultivates emotional intelligence, cultural rootedness, and national pride.
