A vibrant celebration of Baisakhi unfolded at Mayor World School on 11th April 2025, reflecting the institution’s dedication to cultural awareness and fostering a connection to roots.
At Mayor Galaxy, the Pre-Primary wing of the School, the teachers passionately imparted the significance of Baisakhi to the young learners. Clad in lively and varied colours, the educators presented a lively enactment and an energetic dance performance. Furthermore , a fun-filled questionnaire round for the students was also conducted , bringing the festive spirit to life.
The celebration extended to the students of Grades I and II, who participated with enthusiasm in a series of engaging activities. A unique highlight was the traditional Punjabi art of roti-making. Guided by their educators, students learned about the intricate processes involved in crop harvesting, threshing, grain collection, grinding to obtain flour, kneading dough, shaping rotis, and cooking them to perfection. The engaging activity offered students a profound understanding of the cultural significance of roti in Punjabi cuisine while enhancing their appreciation for the endeavours of farmers.
The School Management extolled the teachers for organising such meaningful celebrations that promote cultural values and encourage students to cherish their heritage.
