“Four wheels move the body, Two wheels move the soul.”
The rising sun and the freshness of dawn brought a surge of zeal that brightened up the streets of Jalandhar. Celebrating ‘Hope, Health and Happiness’, Mayor World School organised a cycling event themed ‘Cyclotrack -3’ on 3rd December,2023.
As many as 300 enthusiastic bicycle riders from all walks of life, stroke their pedals through the beauty of the city. The six kilometers long route witnessed the energy and vigour that was unexampled and matchless. Cyclists comprising grandparents, parents, students and the staff set off on their bicycles from the School at 7:00 am. The cycling marathon was led by the Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor, the Director Ms. Sarita Madhok and the Deputy Vice Principal Ms. Charu Trehan. The ride emblematised the ingress into positivity, athleticism and new hopes for a propituous year. The route that encapsulated the heart of the city, Model Town, was filled with zeal and exuberance of the participants. Not only the youngsters but also the tiny tots of Mayor World School showcased their athletic spirit by cycling the complete track in the least possible time. Even the parents exhibited their zest for cycling.
At every few kilometers, the staff was present, motivating the riders to the fullest.The School took complete care for any emergency assistance if required. Water spots were arranged for the cyclists. Ambulance service was also available to meet any unprecedented mishappening. An air filling station was also made accessible to the riders.
Appreciating the overwhelming participation, the School Management extended its earnest gratitude to all the riders for making the event grand and extravagant. Refreshments were arranged for all upon their arrival back at School.
