The magnificence of a culture can be discovered in its festivities. To instill in our children, an understanding of their heritage and culture, and to connect them with their roots, Mayor World School organised a Diwali Celebration for the students of Mayor Galaxy and Grade I-XII in its premises with immense enthusiasm and eagerness on Thursday, 9th November 2023.
Sparklings lights, oil lamps, and multi-hued embellishments added a festive and cheerful tint to the ambience. Adorned in traditional attires, the students were overflowing with excitement and delight.
All the children were joyfully involved in a sequence of tasks such as Diya ornamentation, Toran Crafting, Rangoli Making , Diwali Diorama and Potluck Gathering.
The charm of Diwali is not just in its visual splendour but also in the harmony it nurtures, uniting individuals in the essence of delight and optimism.
A special Assembly for Grade IV students was also conducted in the evening.
The venue was filled with gaiety and the exquisitive decorations were a sight to behold. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Vice Chairperson ,Ms.Neerza Mayor. The Deputy Vice Principal,Ms.Charu Trehan addressed gathering and laid stress on inculcating values like magnanimity and compassion among the children. She also emphasised the need of celebrating pollution free Diwali and buying items from local vendors.
The audience was captivated by the range of breath-taking performances by Grade IV students.Hanuman Chalisa Dance, Diwali Mangal Gaan, Sparkling Diwali Delight, Ramayan Saar, and Radiant Footprints enthralled the spectators. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
The School Management spared no effort in ensuring the resounding success of this event. Grade IV Coordinator,Ms.Inderjeet Kaur and all the educators were extolled for their strenuous endeavours. Diwali Celebration serves as a timeless reminder of the significance of the inner enlightenment and the enduring message of spreading love, kindness and compassion.
