Farewell to thee! But not farewell
To all my fondest thoughts of thee:
Within my heart they still shall dwell;
And they shall cheer and comfort me.
A day full of enthralling performances was organised at Mayor World School on 13th February 2023, to bid farewell to the outgoing Grade XII students. The students of Grade-XI presented brilliant acts, dances and arranged entertaining games for their seniors. The students, who came dressed up in brilliant Indian formal wear, looked ravishingly entrancing.
Bidding adieu to the XII Graders, through music and dance, made the whole environment nostalgic, loving and emotional. The games were very hilarious. The titles given to all the outgoing students were humorous and entertaining and the reactions associating them brought back reminiscences of each student’s personal journey of the past 17 years. The speeches by the School Head Boy and the Head Girl were very emotional as they mirrored upon many memorable incidents of their School life.
The Ramp walk by the outgoing students, was appreciated and applauded by all. The event was judged by the Deputy Vice Principal, Ms Charu Trehan and the Headmistress, Mayor Galaxy, Ms Aarti Gulati. Aahana Aggarwal and Atulya Malhan were declared Miss. Mayorite and Mr. Mayorite respectively. The titles of Miss. Charming, Mr. Handsome and Best Outfit (Female) and Best Outfit (Male) were won by Aaliya Sabharwal, Phurman Sama, Khyati Chhabra and Gurkirat Singh respectively.
The Vice Chairperson Ms.Neerza Mayor, the Director Ms. Sarita Madhok and the Principal Ms. Harjeet Kaur Ghuman gave their blessings and wished good luck to the outgoing class for their future endeavours. The Vice Chairperson stated that bidding adieu was a difficult task but it was time for the students to start realising their dreams. The Director encouraged the students to work hard and leave no stone unturned to come out with flying colours in their life.
The programme culminated with ‘Bhangra’ followed by scrumptious lunch.
