To inspire the young poets to exhibit their talent and confidence, Mayor World School organised a virtual Inter Class Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition  for the students of Grade VI on Friday, 21st May 2021.

A total of twenty students, five from each section, participated in the competition.Each contender was given 1-2 minutes for recitation of the poem.The enthusiastic poets enjoyed the beauty of expression ,thoughts ,rhyme and sonority of words. They verbalised their phonemic awareness, imagination and creative potential in an exquisite manner. The talented Mayorites arrested the audience with their articulation and vivid evocation while reciting the poems. The competition was judged on the basis of content, linguistic proficiency, rhyme and rhythm , and presentation.

 The efficacious recital came to an end with the announcement of the winners. Vanshika Dilawari of VI B bagged the first position.The second position was clinched by Jasmine Kaur of VI A  followed by Arham Jain of VI C at the third position.

The Deputy Vice Principal Ms.Charu Trehan and the Head, Department of Hindi, Ms. Sabhyita Sood  judged the competition and were left entranced by the astounding performances.

The Vice-Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor and  the Director Ms. Sarita Madhok congratulated the winners of the competition and applauded the participants for their showcasing their linguistic skills, inventiveness and knack for poetry recitation. The Principal Ms. Harjeet Kaur Ghuman and the Vice Principal Ms.Charu Trehan congratulated the participants as well as the winners for their fecundity of expression. The Headmistress Mayor Galaxy Ms. Aarti Gulati also motivated the students with her valuable words and appreciated their efforts.
