The learners today have embraced technology like never before, integrating it into every aspect of their lives. The integration of trending technologies has captivated students, providing valuable avenues for learning, collaboration, and creativity. It has also transformed the learning process into an enjoyable adventure for students.
Mayor World School organised an Inter House Canva Video Making Competition on 13th February 2024.The competition aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their creativity and raise awareness about the important issues. The students of Grade VI created their videos on the topic, ‘Promote a Noble Cause’, Grade VII on ‘Will E-commerce dominate physical stores?’ and Grade VIII exhibited their creativity expounding, ‘Crypto Currency: A bright future or just a fad?’
A total of 24 participants from all four houses, took part in this competition. The participants utilised Canva’s features to create eye-catching and informative videos. The digital content displayed by the students was commendable. Ms. Tanupriya, the Head, Department of English and Ms. Anureet Sarkaria, the Head, Department of Psychology, judged the competition. Among the contenders from Grade VI, Keats House comprising Khushi Kumar (VI B) and Vyom Gupta( VI D) clinched the first position. Participants from Grade VII, representing Dickens House, viz. Ojas Rai ( VII A) and Alaina Batra (VII C) bagged the first position in their category. Gauransh Tiwari( VIII A) and Arnav Soni (VIII C) under the banner of Keats House, attained the top position among Grade VIII contestants.
Keats House was declared the overall winner , closely trailed by Dickens, claiming the second spot.
The Director, Ms.Sarita Madhok extended her heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and the deserving winners of the competition. The Inter House Canva Video Making Competition proved to be a successful event, showcasing the artistic talents and technological skills of the students. It encouraged imaginative expression and teamwork among the students.
