Diwali is a festival of fireworks, glistening lights and most importantly an array of sweet treats and delectable food.To celebrate the vibrant and vivacious occasion of Diwali, Mayor World School organised the Inter House Cooking Without Fire Competition on the theme- ‘Diwali’ for students of Grade IX to XII on 26th October 2023. Each team comprised four students.The participants seemed ecstatic and elated showcasing their abilities to rustle up food items. The participants had to cook without fire and prepare a sweet dish and a savoury snack. This competition not only exhibited their cooking skills but also showed their coordination  with one another. The competition began with an emboldening welcome. The participants left no stone unturned to make their food items palatable and appealing. The contenders  came out with immensely mouth-watering sweet dishes and snacks. Proper hygiene and cleanliness were taken care of. TheDeputy Vice Principal, Ms Charu Trehan. The Deputy Vice Principal and Ms Preena Sablok were the distinguished judges of the contest. The participants were judged on the basis of Presentation and table layout, Taste, Innovation, Nutritional value and Introduction of the dish by the participant.The first position was shared by Shakespeare House and Wordsworth house. The participants of Shakespeare House comprising Chinmaye Jain(XII A), Sahiba Makkar( XI C), Nimar Kaur (XD) and Vyom Gulati (IX A), and Wordsworth House consisting of Chaarvi Chopra (XII A), Kyna (XI B), Drisha Jain (X A) and Mahi Sehgal (IX B). The second position was shared by Keats House and Dickens house.
