Mayor World School, dedicated to nurturing young minds both academically and personally, held a vibrant “Dress Up Like a Word” competition on 30th April 2024 for Grades III-V.
The four houses – Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Dickens and Keats were assigned captivating themes viz. Sweet Temptations, Frosted Kingdom , Maritime Mysteries and and Wellness Journey , respectively. Each house sent forth a trio of students, each embodying a word that reflected their theme.
The event was a heartwarming showcase of student dedication and creative spirit. Each house presented with zeal, proving their mettle once again. Eloquent performances and captivating presentations held the audience enthralled, filling the school multiplex with thunderous applause.
The esteemed judges, Ms. Tanupriya, Head , Department of English and Ms. Preena Sablok evaluated the presentations. The Shakespeare House comprising Prabhvir singh (III-C), Rianshi (IV-B) and Aadhya Mahajan (V-E) emerged victorious, followed by Dickens at the second position.
Aaruhi Jain (Grade V-C) of Keats House received the award for the best diction , whereas Aadhya Mahajan( V-E) of Shakespeare House ,impressed everyone with her presentation skills and was declared the best presenter.
The event was graced by the Director Ms. Sarita Madhok, the Deputy Vice Principal Ms. Charu Trehan, and the esteemed guest, Mr. Atul Krishna.
Mr. Krishna not only lauded the students’ efforts but also shared his personal journey, inspiring the young minds to embrace challenges and overcome their fears.
