Mayor World School hosted the Inter-House English Duo Extempore for Grades IV and V on 7th November 2025, showcasing the spontaneous eloquence and collaborative spirit of its young learners. The event brought together participants from all houses, who impressed the audience and judges alike with their confident delivery, expressive articulation, and thoughtful content.
The event was adjudicated by Ms Kamalpreet Kaur and Ms Shikha Sharma from the Department of English, who evaluated the participants on parameters such as content relevance, fluency, pronunciation, confidence, body language, coherence, and overall presentation. The Vice Principal, Ms Charu Trehan, announced the results, while Ms Preena Sablok, Headmistress of Mayor Galaxy, graced the occasion with her encouraging presence.
Wordsworth House ,comprising Shivam Vij (V B) and Ameya Bhandari (IV A), emerged victorious, securing the First Position, followed by Keats House in Second Place and Shakespeare House in Third. Among the standout performers, Gracia of Grade IV E (Keats House) was declared Best Speaker for her clarity, poise, and persuasive expression. The comperes were also appreciated for their graceful and effective anchoring.
The Deputy Head of the Department of English and the event convener, Ms Shubhangi Khosla , was extolled for her meticulous planning and the engaging activities designed for the audience. The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving behind a resonant sense of pride and unity.
