“Let’s light up the world like the sun in the sky “Indian festivals are the occasions for great joy and celebration. To usher in the fervour of Diwali – the festival of lights and colours, Mayor World School expressed   cultural mannerism by organising an interhouse  Rangoli competition for Grades IX to XII and on 8th November 2023.To celebrate this multi-hued traditional art , the participants of the four houses created exotic designs on the theme -‘Vibrant Indian Culture and Tradition’. The contenders expressed through their art , the beautiful ways to fill colours in the lives of others. The participants used mirrors, flower petals,coloured rice, earthen lamps, and floating candles to create artistic expressions , which was a feast to behold. The energy level and the excitement of the participants was over-whelming, and it also turned out to be a herculean task for the judges . Keats House, represented by Khushi Rajput of XII C , Japleen Chhabra of XI B and Rishima Sachdeva of X C created a captivating Rangoli pattern and bagged the first position. Shakespeare House and Wordsworth House secured the second position, followed by Dickens House on third position respectively.The Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor , thanked the Deputy Vice Principal, Ms. Charu Trehan and Ms. Amrita Gill for their judgement and appreciated the participants for their tremendous potential and creativity.The winners were awarded with merit certificates.
