To enable children to experience the joy of self-expression through creative thinking, an Inter House Spin a Yarn competition for Grade III-V was held at Mayor World School, Jalandhar on 19th May, 2023.
The budding story tellers concocted the stories with great enthusiasm and dexterity. The art of narrating a story with the right gestures was vividly shown by the creative Mayorites from different Houses – Keats, Dickens, Shakespeare and Wordsworth.
The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales and enthralled the listeners with their extraordinary narrative skills. Prompt for the story was provided to the participants on the spot .The stories were adjudged on basis of content, creativity, presentation and confidence.
It was a neck and neck competition in which Dickens House comprising Viraaj Sehgal (III C), Saisha Gupta (IV B), Harshit Sachdev (V B) and Sanvi Jalota (V D) emerged victorious. The Principal,Ms.Harjeet Kaur Ghuman and the Headmistress , Mayor Galaxy, Ms Aarti Gulati judged the competition and appreciated the participants for their efforts.
The School Management lauded the exemplary performance showcased by all the participants and congratulated the winners. The winners were awarded with certificates.
