In today’s fast-paced world, where stress and mental unrest are increasingly prevalent, yoga stands as a timeless remedy- an elixir for holistic well-being.
Mayor World School celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with a focus on raising awareness about the profound benefits of yoga. The day began with a compelling introduction that traced the historical roots of this ancient discipline, followed by a thoughtful exposition on its enduring relevance in nurturing harmony across body, mind, and spirit.
The event was led by the Vice Chairperson, Ms Neerza Mayor, and was graced by the presence of the Vice Principal, Ms Charu Trehan. The School’s administrative staff and support team also participated enthusiastically, fully engaging in the yoga postures and breathing exercises.Their spirited involvement underscored the inclusive and accessible nature of yoga for all.
As part of the session, participants practiced foundational asanas such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), and Padmasana (Lotus Pose). Breathing Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) and Bhramari Pranayama (bee breathing) were also introduced, fostering mental clarity and inner calm.
