Mayor World School proudly held its annual Investiture Ceremony on 13th August 2024 in the school premises, marking a significant day in the school calendar. The event celebrated the formal appointment of the Student Council for the academic year 2024-25.Distinguished alumnus and accomplished business owner, Mr. Shivam Bhatia, graced the function as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony was held with intense earnestness and symbolised the reliance and resilience that the institution entrusts in the newly formed senate of the School.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and ignorance, followed by an impressive dance performance by the super talented Mayorites.
The Vice Chairperson, Ms. Neerza Mayor addressed the gathering emphasising the importance of leadership and responsibility in shaping the future. She urged the newly elected student council members to fulfil their responsibilities with a clear conscience, setting the right attitude to work
The beginning of the prestigious investiture ceremony was marked by marching of the Student Council with high degree of sincerity and discipline.
The Vice Chairperson, the Principal and the Chief Guest conferred the badges upon the student governing body in succession.
The Student Council, 2024- 2025 comprises:
Head Boy: Harshbir Singh (XII B)
Head Girl : Sahiba Makkar (XII C)
President, Student Council: Vikram Singh Ahluwalia (XII A)
The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking, where the newly elected student leaders, adorned with badges, pledged to uphold the values and ethos of the school, in the presence of their parents and grandparents. The musical montage presented by the melodious Mayorites was another performance to engage the audience.
The Principal, Ms. Divya Keni and the Deputy Vice Principal, Ms. Charu Trehan congratulated the members of the Student Council and urged them to perform their duties with sincerity and integrity.
Addressing the new leaders, the Chief Guest shared his words of wisdom, encouraging students to lead by example and to strive for excellence in all the endeavours.
The Head Girl and the Head Boy expressed their gratitude for the privileges bestowed on them. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the conveners, school staff, parents, and students in making the event a success. Refreshments were served, providing an opportunity for attendees to interact with the newly appointed student leaders.
