“Camp is not just a place, it is a feeling of belonging, of togetherness, and of endless possibilities.”

Children learn better in an independent and open environment. With the objective of imparting experiential learning to the students, Mayor World School hosted a Day Camp for Mayor Galaxy and Grades I and II, with students from Grades III to V joining in for a Night Camp on 21st March 2024. For Grades VI to VIII, the Night Camp took place on 22nd March 2024. Multihued tents fuelled the children’s imagination and added to their fun and frolic.The students participated in various activities like Wall Climbing, Zip Line, Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Frisbee Wheel, Swinging Log, Zorbing Ball,Mind Field, Acid Circle, All Are Keys, Pipe Dreams etc. All these activities were designed to emphasise coordination, leadership, team work and self-dependence. The professional group ‘Team Adventure’ was especially engaged to conduct all these activities.The Director ,Ms.Sarita Madhok and the Deputy Vice Principal ,Ms.Charu Trehan encouraged the student participation in the spirited adventures.

The students were given certain tasks which they performed under the guidance of the professionals and teachers, allocated to each group of 10 students. The Campers who participated in these activities expressed their views and remarked these as ‘enthralling’ and ‘rejuvenating’. They were mesmerised to see the environment and arrangements.

The children enjoyed the bonfire moments and the foot tapping music till late in the evening. Later they relished a scrumptious meal and then continued with their peer talks, dance and music for hours. In the morning they had their breakfast and went on with some new activities.

The Vice Chairperson,Ms. Neerza Mayor emphasised that these activities lead to holistic growth of children.She additionally emphasised that the School has diligently endeavoured to ensure that these camps prioritise both safety and enjoyment to the utmost extent possible.
The parents expressed their gratitude towards the School Management for organising adventure retreats for children and making them confident and self-reliant.
