Celebrating traditions and festivals symbolises the unity and our connection with our roots , which Mayor World takes pride in. The School organised a special assembly for the students of Grade III on Monday, 23rd October, 2023 to honour the accomplishments of the students for the session 2022-23 and to bask everyone in the divine glory of NAVRATRI.
The event started by offering prayers to Goddess Navdurga and seeking blessings to protect everyone from evil. Navratri is not just about dance and devotion but also showcases the rich diversity of Indian culture .The students presented various dance performances depicting nine forms of Goddess Durga in a splendid manner. The students as well their parents adorned in vibrant traditional attires added to the spendlour of the multi-hued event. Navratri celebrations got underway for children with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Vice Chairperson, Ms.Neerza Mayor awarded the students with certificates for their scholastic achievements. The Deputy Vice Principal, Ms. Charu Trehan addressed the gathering and laid stress on inculcating values like magnanimity and compassion among the children.
The evening smiled upon the gathering with the most agreeable weather. The euphonious garba music filled the place with exuberance and the exquisitive decorations were a sight to behold. The Vice Chairperson extolled the convener, Ms. Supreet Kaur and the teachers for their painstaking endeavours. She also appreciated the students and their parents for their heartfelt contribution. The School management left no stone unturned in making this event an absolute triumph.
