Mayor World School hosted yet another super successful Mayorite Cricket League T10 (Season 3), for all the sporty and athletic fathers of the Mayorites with great exhilaration, this month.

The fun filled cricket tournament was played among six passionate teams- Challengers, Scoring Willows, Game Changers, Pitch Smashers, Fantastic 11 and Fire Balls. All the teams performed spectacularly well. This thrilling event had its monumental finale on Sunday, 26th February 2023. The nerve-wrecking final match was played between Team Fire Balls and Team Game Changers.

The toss was won by Fire Balls and they decided to bat first. The game was thrilling with both teams playing wholeheartedly.

Defeating the team Fire Balls, the team Game Changers emerged triumphant making a spectacular total of 103 runs in seven overs for one wicket. Fire Balls made 101 runs, losing six wickets in twelve overs.

The valedictory ceremony took place in the presence of the Vice Chairperson, the

Director, the Principal, the Deputy Vice Principal and the Head Mistress, Mayor Galaxy. Commemorating the successful culmination of the league, the talented students of the school presented a melodious symphony gleaming with the feelings of teamwork and togetherness. The phenomenal dance performance by the magnificent group of Mayorites enthralled the audience and a solo performance by Super Talented Sanchit Chanana left them awestruck. The Director acknowledged the notable role of the sponsors in making the league an outstanding event.

Special awards were presented to ardent cricketers who were declared the ‘ Man of the Match’ for the matches played during the tournament, Mr. Jaspreet Singh Walia(Scoring Willows),Mr. Nikhil Gupta(Game Changers),Mr. Arshdeep Singh(Team Challengers), Mr. Ashish Mankotia (Fire Balls) ,Mr. Kranti Jain( Game Changers) and Mr. Amit Gupta( Fire Balls) .

Studding the league with fours and sixes, Mr. Kranti Jain of Team Game Changers was awarded the Best Batsman Trophy. Mr. Amit Gupta of Team Fire Balls was felicitated with the trophy of the Best Bowler of the tournament. The Man of the Series award was won by Mr. Kranti Jain (Game Changers ).The runner up team was presented with trophies.

The Department of Sports was profoundly acknowledged for the success of the event.

The School Management extolled all the teams for their phenomenal display of team effort and persistence in making this league a victorious event. The wonderful league ended with the singing of National Anthem.
